Testimonials From Our Parents

To Mrs. Shirley Hall, Director

Rainbow Reading Center

As you know, due to a below average reading level, Johnny was recommended for retention to the first grade.  After participating in the Rainbow Reading Center’s summer enrichment program, Johnny achieved a second grade-targeted reading level and advanced to second grade.  He is now approaching third grade and due to the learning he has attained at the Center in the academics of reading, writing and math, I am confident that he will be exceptional throughout his schooling.

Based on my child’s achievements through the Rainbow Reading Center’s structured provision of no child left behind, I highly recommended both its after-school and summer enrichment programs.

With kind regards,

Judy L. Young

My seven year old son, Jiquis Ward, has been an attendant of Rainbow Reading Center for about two and a half years.  He enjoys the wonderful staff, excellent programs, and not to mention the friends he has made over his time spent there.  The center has really inspired my African-American child to read more and excel higher amongst his counterparts.  This past year he took the required CRCT (basic skills test) and passed all with exceeding expectations.  His homeroom teacher also recommended him for the gifted program because of his reading scores and math scores.  Thanks to Rainbow Reading and their efforts, he will continue to succeed academically, emotionally, and especially intellectually in the years to come.

Educationally yours,

Chad Ward

Dear Mrs. Hall:

I write this letter to say a “BIG THANKS” to your for the work you have done with our granddaughter, Nya Grantham.  This was her first year in your program and she read her first book last week as a direct effort of your program.  It was a joy to see the big smile on her face after she had finished the book.  Thanks again to you and your staff on putting reading first.

 Sincerely,

Jimmie Williams

Dear Mrs. Hall:

I am Deborah A. O’Neal, parent of Brandon F. O’Neal who has attended Rainbow Reading Development Center for the After-School and summer sessions 2007.  My husband and I have been please with Brandon’s improvement in reading, math, and penmanship.  He has a desire to pronounce and spell words correctly all the time especially when we are riding in the car.  Brandon’s writing skills have improved 100% since entering the center.  His joy for reading and his initiative to work on the computer is directly related to this outstanding program.  I promote the Rainbow Reading slogan, “Tomorrow’s success begins with reading today.”

Dear Mrs. Hall:

Rainbow Reading Center has helped Deondre’s successfully pass all parts of the CRCT Test and prepare him for Third Grade.  The Center has also helped Deondre’ adjust to the public school system learning style as he recently moved from Dallas, Texas to Thomasville, Georgia.  Thank you for your help.

 Grateful Parent

Mrs. Hall,

My children have been attending the Rainbow Reading Center for a short time, but I can see a tremendous change in both of them.  My oldest child (9) was very shy, timid, and had a love for books.  Since she has been attending the center, her love for books and reading has increased.  She would never read aloud.  She was nervous about reading aloud and did not have confidence that she could read or speak in front of others.  Being at the center, she developed the confidence to read aloud and to her younger siblings.  Her vocabulary has also increased.

My middle child (6) is very high-spirited.  She will be entering 2nd grade in the fall.  I felt that her reading skills were not where they should be for entering the 2nd Grade.  Being at the center, her vocabulary and reading skills have improved greatly.  She is now able to read fluently attaching each word with authority.  Everywhere she goes, she takes a book with her.  Rainbow Reading Center has given my children the confidence, the extra support, and most importantly the skills that they will need to function at and above grade level the next school year.
