Shirley Hall
Executive Directory

Shirley Hall, Executive Director and Owner is a retired teacher(2009) of 19 years with the Thomasville City School System.  She has served several positions with the city system as a secretary, para-professional, and teacher. She is an essential element in working with children to increase and enhance their reading and math skills.  She received her Bachelor Degree from Albany State University where she graduated with honors.

During her career as a teacher she saw the need to give children additional assistance in reading and math.   This drive and ability allowed her to open her own business, away from school, which began Rainbow Reading Development Center, Inc., in 2001.  In 2005-2006 School Year, the Center's accomplishment allowed Mrs. Hall to celebrate the success of her elibible students, who took the CRCT (Basic Skills Test), to pass with 100% Passing Rate in Reading.  She continues to acquire the drive and ability to put forth extra effort to help students learn.  She is a firm believer in "Every child can learn something, if given the passion, patience, and time." Her passion for learning continues to carry over to the students she serves, and it is evident in their test scores. Eventhough, she doesn't get much financial assistance, she cherishes the reward when   children begin to master reading skills (the light comes on), and she sees the self-confidence, and the smile on their faces.
